John B. Stevens
John is the former Director of the MBA program at St. Bonaventure University and is an instructor in the School of Business, Management Department. He is also president of JB Stevens Organizational Solutions, a management consulting and training business.
He has over 35 years of experience in organizational development, training, consulting, teaching, administration, human resources, communications and public relations.
He is a former Vice President of Human Resources at a 500 employee agency and in this capacity was responsible for all aspects of the human resource function.
He served as the Director of the Achievement Center for Continuous Learning at St. Bonaventure University. He was responsible for the development and delivery of training programs and services designed to meet the performance needs of organizations, business, industry and non-profits.
Before joining St. Bonaventure University he was the Manager of Training and Employee Development at CUTCO Cutlery Corporation, the leading manufacturer of household cutlery in North America. His responsibilities included developing, delivering and evaluating training for executives, managers, supervisors, administrative personnel and skilled factory positions. He also assisted the human resource department in policy formulation and implementation, contract negotiations and hiring, promoting and mentoring.
He is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He is a former President of the Great Olean Area Chamber of Commerce.
He is a mediator for the New York State Public Employee Relations Board (PERB).
He is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University with a B.A. degree in Journalism. He received his Master of Arts in Business and Policy Studies from the Empire State College division of the State University of New York.

Brittany Thierman
Brittany is an adjunct professor at SUNY Alfred State College and is the CEO of Neighborhood School of Dance. She knows the pitfalls, struggles, and successes of owning a small business and brings that experience to her students at the collegiate level. She has taught courses in Management Communications, Leadership, Strategic Thinking & Creative Problem Solving, International Business, Marketing, Management and Organizational Behavior.
She graduated from Elmira College in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Business Administration - Management. She then studied at St. Bonaventure University and received her Master of Business Administration in 2012. The day after graduation, Brittany began her career at Dresser-Rand Industries as the Human Resources Coordinator.
Brittany took over the Neighborhood School of Dance in 2013. NSD has been in Olean since 1976. Brittany oversees a teaching staff of 9 instructors between their two locations in Olean, NY and Port Allegany, PA.
Brittany is also a published author creating The Leadership Workbook for Students and The Leadership Workbook for Small Business Owners.
Brittany is currently attending Marshall University pursuing her Doctorate of Business Administration. Her emphasis is on Management and Entrepreneurship.
